2nd pair of these that I have owned. I use them for my main footwear in the winter where we see temps as low as -40. Excellent traction on snowpack and ice, warm up to about an hour in extreme cold, longer in normal cold 0 or above. Easier to slip on than pack boots. A boot dryer at night is a good idea as with any boot, once they get condensation inside they will loose warmth. If you are working long hours in sub zero temps you will still want a pack boot but these are great for 95% of chores. Few areas experience the cold that we do here.
